Dr. Lori C. Hicks,
Dr. Lori C. Hicks, owner of LCHSTUDIOS, LLC, a vocal training company based in the Triangle, offers lessons and resources dedicated to developing healthy voices in all musical styles. Dr. Lori has established a diverse career spanning various roles such as a classical singer, composer, vocal coach, professor, clinician, public speaker, director, arts administrator, and entrepreneur. With more than 17 years of experience in Higher Education, Dr. Lori has served as the Director of Opera at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Chair of Performing Arts at Kentucky State University, and Associate Professor of Voice and Opera at Claflin University. She and is currently the Music Director at Triangle Grace Church. Dr. Hicks holds a BME from Kentucky State University, a MM from Bowling Green State University, and a DMA from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.

Steven F. McClain,
Steven F. McClain, owner of SFM Coaching, a music education and training company for vocalists and instrumentalists that stresses the fundamentals of breathing, sound production and development. He believes in teaching voice like an instrument and teaching instruments like voice. Steven has had a diverse career which has included acting, writing and directing in film, television and stage; voice over artist; as well as performing in musicals and operas. However, it is his love of Educating the youth that has driven him for more than 28 years. Currently, he is developing “The Academy for Young Musicians” which seeks to bridge the gap between middle school and high school band and orchestra programs.
